NOIDA, INDIA / ACCESSWIRE / November 15, 2024 / Aladyyn, a diagnostic marketplace that aims to increase accessibility to high-quality blood testing services for rural communities in India, recently announced the onboarding of over 300 lab partners as part of its efforts to increase access to blood testing.
Lucy Chatterjee, founder and CEO of Aladyyn says, "We are so excited to have onboarded these amazing lab partners. By working together, we'll be able to significantly expand our reach and improve access to crucial diagnostic testing, especially as we help small and medium labs modernize and grow their services through the digitalization of blood testing."
The How and Why of Aladyyn
Founded in 2020, Aladyyn was born when Chatterjee, like so many other professionals, was required to pivot as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. When her aerospace marketing company faced a significant slowdown as a result of travel restrictions, Chatterjee decided to work on addressing a pressing issue she had seen in her home country of India - a lack of accessibility to reliable blood testing and diagnostic services.
Aladyyn was founded with the goal of improving access to blood testing, in part by helping small and medium labs digitize and adopt other modernization practices. This enables labs to better serve patients and provide more efficient and reliable testing and diagnostics - a crucial element for diagnosing diseases, checking organ function, evaluating the efficiency of other medical treatments, screening for genetic conditions and more.
"Timely and accurate blood testing can make all the difference in detecting serious diseases early, before they cause major health challenges," Chatterjee says. "Heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and others can all be detected through blood testing, allowing for timely intervention that allows individuals to maintain their quality of life. All too often, however, people in rural areas can't access this testing until their condition has worsened, if they can access it at all. Ensuring greater access to diagnostic testing can literally save lives and help better fight disease."
Lab Partner Growth
To achieve its goal of improving access to diagnostic blood testing, Aladyyn has progressively increased the number of lab partners it works with, helping the labs improve their capacity to better serve individuals in rural communities to improve health outcomes.
The new lab partners include organizations known for their state of the art diagnostic equipment, seasoned professionals and high standards in pathology, such as NM Medical, Vcare, Nadkarni Pathology Laboratory, Biogenics Labs and Paras Pathology.
These and other lab partners for Aladyyn's program were vetted based on attributes such as the variety of diagnostic test and pathology services offered, dedication to quality, staff ratings, use of cutting edge technology and clean facilities.
As Chatterjee explains, "Naturally, we want to partner with labs who already have a high standard of quality in terms of the services they provide. However, even these labs can use assistance to make their work more efficient and to make blood testing more accessible to at-risk populations. Helping them digitize and adopt other modern practices helps them progress so they can better fulfill their own missions of delivering quality health outcomes."
Delivering Results
Thanks to the support offered by Aladyyn, labs have been able to streamline their digitization efforts, allowing for more accurate record-keeping and reporting, while also facilitating greater outreach to vulnerable individuals. This in turn allows them to serve a greater proportion of their local populations to improve overall community health.
From its pandemic-era beginnings, Aladyyn's latest milestone shows that the organization is well on its way to turning its goal of improving access to blood testing into a reality.
